MicroDental Research Triangle Laboratory Adds New Services and Two Lab Industry Leaders BY EDITOR, MARCH 11, 2015
Research Triangle introduced expanded services and the addition of two dental laboratory industry leaders. A prominent cosmetic full-mouth and advanced implant laboratory, MicroDental Research Triangle is now offering Sleep Apnea Devices, Dentures, Night Guards, posterior Crown and Bridge, and more. Additionally, the company has recently welcomed Chris Cozzolino as Laboratory Manager and Tom Lake, CDT, TE, MAAIP as Director of Technical Operations.
“From the beginning, our vision has been to make the MicroDental Research Triangle Laboratory one of the premier, full-service laboratories in North America. Though the laboratory started out by focusing primarily on complex cases, high-end cosmetics and implants, we are pleased to expand our services and offerings. The key to success was to find the right leadership team that could deliver on the vision, and we did that when we hired Chris and Tom,” noted Kim Bradshaw, CEO and President of MicroDental Laboratories. “I am confident that Chris and Tom's commitment to service excellence, strong technical acumen and drive for high performance will impress dentists in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina and throughout the country.”
The newest product that MicroDental Research Triangle offers is the MicrO2™, the first CAD/CAM milled Obstructive Sleep Apnea device engineered to deliver precision fit, maximum comfort and ease of use. The innovative and compact design of the MicrO2 device does not require patients to manage any mechanical adjustments. In addition, several Removable products are now available, including Complete Dentures, Partial Dentures, Night Guards, and Orthodontics that offer a broader range of solutions for patients. Moreover, posterior Crown and Bridge restorations are accessible through a variety of materials in order to treat a wider patient audience.
With over 29 years of lab experience, Chris Cozzolino held several senior level positions with a national dental laboratory network, including Laboratory President and Group Operations and Field Support Manager. She is well versed in sales and service as well as lab operations. Chris has been instrumental at growing a number of labs at her previous company by increasing their product offerings, providing high levels of service and quality, and improved operational efficiencies.
Tom Lake, the newest CDT to join MicroDental Research Triangle, earned his degree in Dental Technology at the University of Kentucky and is board certified. He also holds the “Technologist” credential awarded by the National Board for Certification in recognition of expertise in all five specialties of dental technology, and a “Mastership” credential awarded by the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics. Tom was on staff with the Graduate Prosthodontics Program in the University of Florida and also was a Clinical Instructor with the Dental Implant Center at the University of Miami.
